Steam release date already set

Sony has quietly announced the addition of the PSVR 2 PC app to Steam, set to launch on August 6, 2024. This new feature will allow PSVR 2 owners to play PC virtual reality titles, significantly expanding their game libraries.

Release Details

According to the Steam listing, players will need a PSVR 2 to PC adapter, which will be available on August 7. Additionally, players will need a DisplayPort 1.4 cable and to keep the firmware of their PSVR 2 headset and PSVR 2 Sense controllers up to date.

Minimum System Requirements

To use PSVR 2 on PC, the minimum requirements are:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-7600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 (Zen 2 architecture or later)
  • RAM: 8 GB or more
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 (Turing architecture or later) or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT (RX 6500XT architecture or later)
  • Direct USB connection and Bluetooth 4.0 or later
